Even though urbanization is important, it is also takin away our natural and green places from the cities. So the notion of culture reflected through the built form needs to also focus on how unbuilt spaces also play a role. Though built form is also very important and so are the activities around it, but due to development we are also losing a lot of green places which are also habitat to animals, birds, etc in urban areas.

There are a lot of places in and around us that we may not know/focus on. In my neighbourhood in Pune there are still very less construction or development activities', because of which there are a lot of green spaces. Those green spaces act as common area where people go all throughout the day based on their needs. Some go to exercise while some just hang around with friends. Development may not always be healthy, especially when we take away all the green places and trees from cities. The government campus that I stay in has all these protected but private development is mostly the opposite, there the community will have to save the natural places, that existed earlier. Newer spaces I think do not have the same feeling of bonding.
