I'm from Pune. Pune has areas with a lot of dense population and lesser is other areas. I live in a government campus, so the neighborhood has a lot of open land with grass and tree cover, it is away from the city, connectivity to the main road is at a certain distance such that the noise won't bother us. While there is a military campus on the adjacent side, this part is quite interesting, there are a lot of trees, a practice ground that is visible only during the winters due to the falling leaves while it is all covered and impossible to see during the monsoons, there is a group of peacocks that wonder around. A lot of other animals like mongoose, snakes, different kind of birds right from scavengers to the smallest Titvi's, quiet a blissful experience. Also we have a sky that is not yet highjacked by tall skyscrapers, a wide skyline and the pink winter sky, what more could one ask for? It is quite and peacful and much better to meet people from our own neighbouhoods and enjoy the place. Though this is actually becoming rare because of the city and their development. Actually we did an assignment for knowing our neighborhoods better as a part of our academic learning earlier this semester, it was a great experience, coz we live but many times don't recognize what we have. It was a good opportunity to reflect. I am glad that the development has not taken away my neighborhood space. Do you have undeveloped areas around you that you are glad about?
